STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The purpose of the proposed legislation is to clarify that building projects managed by the Division of Public
Works shall comply with construction standards adopted by the Permanent Building Fund Advisory Committee.
Specifically, the Department is seeking an avenue to provide guidance for agencies as they consider the number
of private offices and square footage allocations per person appropriate in office design.

There is no fiscal impact from the legislation.
