STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This legislation amends sections of Title 37, including the Schedule 1, to revise a definition, define a term,
provide an exception for hemp containing .3 percent or less of tetrahydrocannabinols (THC) to conform with
federal law.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no fiscal impact because the Idaho State Patrol appropriated $250,000 in 2019 for testing equipment.
