STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS27211 / H0328
The Idaho Outfitters and Guides Licensing Board is proposing legislation to clarify the section of the law
regarding the Board's designation of allocated deer and elk tags in controlled hunts that was amended in House
Bill 192 from the 2019 Legislative Session. Specifically, the changes clarify which tags are used as the basis
to compute an individual outfitting operation's designated number of allocated tags for each controlled hunt.
These changes are necessary to eliminate confusion or ambiguity in interpreting and implementing the law.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no impact to the General Fund. There is no impact to the Board's dedicated fund because the Board
absorbed the costs of implementation last year with the passage of House Bill 192 from the 2019 Legislative
Session, and this legislation only clarifies the language in the law.
