STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS27215 / H0326
Consistent with the Red Tape Reduction Act, this bill seeks to eliminate obsolete and unnecessary restrictions.
Specifically, this would repeal the definition of Veteran listed in Section 65-502(17), Idaho Code, which conflicts
with the definition of Veteran defined in Section 65-203, Idaho Code. Specifically, this will remove the more
restrictive 180 service day requirement defined in Section 65-502(17), Idaho Code, which conflicts with the
90 service day requirement listed in Section 65-203, Idaho Code. This legislation also amends references to
Section 65-502, Idaho Code, to Section 65-203, Idaho Code. The effected sections are: Section 49-123(6),
Idaho Code; Section 65-503(1), Idaho Code; Section 67-5302(37), Idaho Code; and Section 67-5309(f), Idaho
Code.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no anticipated fiscal impact because it is changing Code for consistency in definitions.
