STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS27179
This is an FY 2019 supplemental appropriation for the Department of Administration, Permanent Building
Fund. It provides $1,955,000 for the acquisition of available properties near or adjacent to the Capitol Mall.
This supplemental appropriation provides for a cash transfer in the amount of $1,955,000 from the General
Fund to the Permanent Building Fund. This bill also provides that the Department of Administration shall
initiate purchase negotiations on behalf of the state of Idaho, and the department shall promulgate rules to
include any such purchased property as a part of the Capitol Mall. The bill also requires any unused funding
to be transferred back to the General Fund.
