AN ACT
RELATING TO LICENSED HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS FOR PURPOSES OF
STATE LAW REGARDING CONCUSSION AND BRAIN INJURY POLICIES FOR
EXTRACURRICULAR INTERSCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES.
4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. Section 280.13C, subsection 2, paragraph e, Code
2 2021, is amended to read as follows:
3 e. “Licensed health care provider” means a physician,
4 physician assistant, chiropractor, advanced registered
5 nurse practitioner, nurse, physical therapist, occupational

6 therapist, or athletic trainer licensed by a board designated
7 under section 147.13.
