1 An Act extending the deadline to enter into withholding
2 agreements under the targeted jobs withholding credit pilot
3 project.
4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

1 Section 1. Section 403.19A, subsection 3, paragraph c,
2 subparagraph (2), Code 2021, is amended to read as follows:
3 (2) The pilot project city and the economic development
4 authority shall not enter into a withholding agreement after
5 June 30, 2021 2026.
6 EXPLANATION
7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
9 This bill extends, by five years, the deadline for entering
10 into withholding agreements under the targeted jobs withholding
11 credit pilot project from June 30, 2021, to June 30, 2026.
