AN ACT
RELATING TO THE FREQUENCY OF GAME NIGHTS CONDUCTED BY LICENSED
QUALIFIED ORGANIZATIONS.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. Section 99B.12, subsection 2, paragraph c,
2 subparagraph (5), Code 2021, is amended to read as follows:
3 (5) One game night each per calendar year month during the
4 two-year period, subject to the requirements of section 99B.26.
5 Sec. 2. Section 99B.12, subsection 3, paragraph b,
6 subparagraph (3), Code 2021, is amended to read as follows:
7 (3) One game night per calendar month during the one-year
8 period, subject to the requirements of section 99B.26.
9 Sec. 3. Section 99B.12, subsection 4, paragraph b,
10 subparagraph (3), Code 2021, is amended to read as follows:
11 (3) One game night per calendar month during the period of
12 one hundred eighty days, subject to the requirements of section
13 99B.26.
14 Sec. 4. Section 99B.12, subsection 5, paragraph b,
15 subparagraph (3), Code 2021, is amended to read as follows:
16 (3) One game night per calendar month during the period of
17 ninety days, subject to the requirements of section 99B.26.
18 Sec. 5. Section 99B.12, subsection 6, paragraph b,
19 subparagraph (5), Code 2021, is amended to read as follows:
20 (5) One game night per calendar month during the period of
21 fourteen days, subject to the requirements of section 99B.26.

22 Sec. 6. Section 99B.26, subsection 1, Code 2021, is amended
23 to read as follows:
24 1. A licensed qualified organization may conduct one game
25 night per calendar year month subject to the provisions of this
26 section.
27 Sec. 7. Section 99B.27, subsection 2, paragraph o, Code
28 2021, is amended to read as follows:
29 o. A qualified organization representing veterans licensed
30 under this section shall not hold more than two card game
31 tournaments per month and shall not hold a card game tournament
32 within seven six calendar days of another card game tournament
33 conducted by that qualified organization representing veterans.
34 Card game tournaments held during a game night conducted
35 pursuant to section 99B.26 shall not count toward the limit
1 of one card game tournament per week six calendar days for a
2 license holder. A qualified organization representing veterans
3 shall be allowed to hold only one card game tournament during
4 any period of twenty-four consecutive hours, starting from the
5 time the card game tournament begins.
