1 An Act relating to the frequency of game nights conducted by
2 licensed qualified organizations.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

1 Section 1. Section 99B.12, subsection 2, paragraph c,
2 subparagraph (5), Code 2021, is amended to read as follows:
3 (5) One game night each calendar year month during the
4 two-year period, subject to the requirements of section 99B.26.
5 Sec. 2. Section 99B.12, subsection 3, paragraph b,
6 subparagraph (3), Code 2021, is amended to read as follows:
7 (3) One game night during the one-year one-month period,
8 subject to the requirements of section 99B.26.
9 Sec. 3. Section 99B.12, subsection 4, paragraph b,
10 subparagraph (3), Code 2021, is amended to read as follows:
11 (3) One game night per calendar month during the period of
12 one hundred eighty days, subject to the requirements of section
13 99B.26.
14 Sec. 4. Section 99B.12, subsection 5, paragraph b,
15 subparagraph (3), Code 2021, is amended to read as follows:
16 (3) One game night per calendar month during the period of
17 ninety days, subject to the requirements of section 99B.26.
18 Sec. 5. Section 99B.26, subsection 1, Code 2021, is amended
19 to read as follows:
20 1. A licensed qualified organization may conduct one game
21 night per calendar year month subject to the provisions of this
22 section.
23 EXPLANATION
24 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
25 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
26 This bill allows a licensed qualified organization to
27 conduct one game night per calendar month so long as other
28 application and authorization requirements are met. Currently,
29 licensed qualified organizations are only allowed to conduct
30 one game night per calendar year.
