Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred H.C.R. No.
100, H.D. 1, entitled:
“HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE LEGISLATIVE
REFERENCE BUREAU TO CONDUCT AN ANALYSIS REGARDING THE SCOPE
OF PRACTICE FOR ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSES AND
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS,”
begs leave to report as follows:
The purpose of this measure is to request the Legislative
Reference Bureau to conduct an analysis regarding the scope of
practice for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses and Physician
Assistants.
Your Committee has amended this measure by specifying a
request for the analysis to include a comparative study of
how Hawaii differs from other states regarding the scope of
practice for advance practice registered nurses and physician
assistants.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your
Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your
Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.C.R. No. 100,
HD. 1, as amended herein, and recommends its adoption in the form
attached hereto as H.C.R. No. 100, H.D. 2.
