2 A memorial to the Congress of the United States,
3 urging Congress to recognize the need to establish a
4 new zip code for the City of Coconut Creek to be
5 perpetually unique to the City of Coconut Creek.

7 WHEREAS, the City of Coconut Creek is a municipality
8 located in Broward County with a population of approximately
9 57,833 and a land area of approximately 12 square miles, and
10 WHEREAS, establishing a new zip code for the City of
11 Coconut Creek to be perpetually unique to the City of Coconut
12 Creek would provide numerous benefits to its residents,
13 including lowering insurance rates, fixing address-related
14 issues with elections, censuses, and United States Postal
15 Service delivery, and branding and economic development, NOW,
16 THEREFORE,

18 Be It Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

20 That the Congress of the United States is urged to
21 recognize the need to establish a new zip code for the City of
22 Coconut Creek to be perpetually unique to the City of Coconut
23 Creek.
24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of State dispatch
25 copies of this memorial to the President of the United States,
