II.Summary of Amendments Contained in Message:
House Amendment 1 increases the Governor’s appointees to the Greater Miami Expressway
Authority from three to four. The additional appointee must still be a member of the MPO for
Miami-Dade County, but that member would be appointed by the Governor, not by the MPO,
and that member no longer has to be a resident of incorporated municipalities within the county
as under current law.
