Pursuant to section 451 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act (D.C. Official Code 1-
204.51) and the Procurement Practices Reform Act (D.C. Official Code 2-351.01 et seq.),
enclosed for consideration and approval by the Council of the District of Columbia is proposed
Modification Nos. 2 and 3 to Contract No. GAGA-2021-C-0074 with Curriculum Associates,
LLC. to exercise option year one in the amount of $1,182,999.55. The period of performance is
from September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023.
Under the proposed modification, Curriculum Associates LLC. shall continue to provide access to
i-Ready platform for K-8th grades DCPS students, school personnel and designated Central
Services personnel.

A PROPOSED RESOLUTION
IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
To declare the existenceofan emergency with respect to the need to approve
Modification No. 2 & 3 to exercise option period one of Contract No. GAGA-
2021-C-0074 with Curriculum Associates, LLC, to continue providing a K-8th
Grades ELA and Math Diagnostic Assessments Platform, increase the option
period price from $996,253.55 by $186,746.00 to $1,182,999.55, and to authorize
payment for the goods and services received and to be received under that
contract.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That
this resolution may be cited as the Modification Nos. 2 & 3 to Contract No. GAGA-
27 2021-C-0074 with Curriculum Associates, LLC Approval and Payment Authorization.
28 Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2022.
29 Sec. 2. (a) There exists an immediate need to approve Modification Nos. 2 & 3 to
30 exercise option period oneof Contract No. GAGA-2021-C-0074 with Curriculum
31 Associates, LLC, to continue providing a K-8th Grades English Language Arts (ELA)
32 and Math Diagnostic Assessments Platform, increase the option period price from
33 $996,253.55 by $186,746.00 to $1,182,999.55, and to authorize payment for the goods
34 and services received and to be received under the contract.
35 (b) Option period one of the contract is from September 1, 2022, through August
36 31, 2022, in the total amountof $1,182,999.55.
37 (c) Modification No. 1 exercised a partial option period on September 1, 2022, in
38 the amount of $996,253.55.
39 (d) Modification Nos. 2 & 3 are now necessary to exercise the entirety of option
40 period one through August 31, 2023, and increase the value by $186,746.00, to afinal
41 option period valueof$1,182,999.55.
42 (e) Council approval is necessary since this will increase the valueof the contract
43 to more than $1 million during a 12-month period.
() Approval is necessary to allow the continuation of these vital services.
45 Without this approval, Curriculum Associates, LLC cannot be paid for goods and
46 services provided in excess of$1 million for the period September 1, 2022, through
47 August 31, 2023.
48 Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia determines that the
49 circumstances enumerated in section 2 constitute emergency circumstances making it
50 necessary that the Modification Nos. 2 & 3 to Contract No. GAGA-2021-C-0074 with
51 Curriculum Associates, LLC Approval and Payment Authorization Emergency Act of
52 2022 be adopted after a single reading.
53 Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
