To confirm the appointment ofMr. Emest Boykin to the Board of Funeral Directors.
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the Board of Funeral Directors Emest Boykin Confirmation
Resolution of 2021.
Sec. 2. The Councilofthe District of Columbia confirms the reappointment of:

Ernest Boykin
Emest Boykin works through his non-profit, Capital Commitment, to
help train and place inner city residents in telecommunications
careers and is a current member of the Board of Funeral Directors.
Over the span of 15 years, Capital Commitment compiled an
impressive track record, placing over 2800 men and women, over
98% ofenrollees moving into middle path jobs.
Mr. Boykins community engagement also includes coordinating
activities for the United Black Fund and serving District residents in
need by working with various partners around DC to provide them
with clothes, food, donations, and shelter.
A Ward 4 resident, Mr. Boykin received a Bachelor of Arts in
History/Political Science from Hampton Institute and a Master of International Finance and
Economics from Columbia University.
