To confirm the appointment of Mrs. Eileen Vitelli to the BoardofArc! -cture, Interior Design,

RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
resolution may be cited as the Board of Architecture, Interior Design, and Landscape
Architecture Eileen Vitelli Confirmation Resolutionof 2021.
Sec. 2. The Councilofthe District of Columbia confirms the appointment of:

Eileen Vitelli is a consultant as the Operations Manager for Evelyn Pierce
Design Studio, a residential design firm in DC. She transitioned to this role
after five years as a Project Manager and later the Operations Manager at
//3877 (Studio 3877, LLC). Ms. Vitellis focus is on internal firm management:
developing processes that ensure strong project management, positive client
relationships, and support the whole office in executing successful designs.
She also supports business development and leads onboarding for new staff.
Ms, Vitelli is an interior designer by training, with 20 years of experience
* designing for theatre, hotels, retail stores, restaurants, and high-end
diplomatic residences. During her early career, she studied set and props design, then designed for
several theater companies in DC. Her current specialty is hotel design, and she enjoys working with
hotel owners, general contractors, and other design professionals to create comfortable and
functional spaces for travelers.
As a mid-career interior designer, she enjoys helping younger designers as they enter the profession.
She has trained new employees at several ofher jobs, usually directing the work of 3-5 junior staff.
An active member of the local chapterof the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Ms. Vitelli
individually mentors interior design students on their early careers. She gives presentations on
resume and interview preparation and speaks on industry panels. She is licensed in DC and holds an
NCIDQ Certificate.
Even though she started out as a techie backstage, hiding from the limelight, Ms. Vitelli has
become comfortable speaking to small and mid-sized audiences of all types. She is a Toastmaster
(member of Toastmasters International) and Competent Communicator. She truly enjoys writing,
and her skills were recognized with a national award for her Master's thesis on communal tables.
Award 1 resident, Ms. Vitelli earned her Master's
in Interior Design from Marymount University and her
Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University.
