10 IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

12 To recognize and celebrate Melanie Bates Consulting, LLC (MBC) on its 3rd year
13 anniversary.

15 WHEREAS, Since September 17, 2017, MBC has served as a Washington, DC based
16 strategic policy and communications firm with an overall passion for criminal justice reform;

18 WHEREAS, MBC is a Ward 5 Certified Business Enterprise specializing in government
19 relations, communications, and development;

21 WHEREAS, MBC includes the client in every step, working collaboratively through
22 strategic planning, information gathering, and decision-making framework;
23 WHEREAS, MBC has provided tremendous contributions to the residents of the District
24 of Columbia, empowering individuals and organizations to achieve their goals and make a
25 meaningful impact on the community;
26 WHEREAS, MBC has flourished under the robust leadership of its Principal, Melanie Elizabeth
27 Bates, Esq.;

29 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
30 resolution may be cited as the Melanie Bates Consulting, LLC (MBC) 3rd Year Anniversary
31 Recognition Resolution of 2020.

1 Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia recognizes and celebrates Melanie Bates
2 Consulting, LLC (MBC) for its 3rd year anniversary.

4 Sec. 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon the first date of publication in
5 the District of Columbia Register.
