25 To disapprove proposed contract CA23-0572 to exercise option period 3 with Security
26 Assurance Management, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $25 million to provide security
27 guards services to protect persons and property at District of Columbia Public Schools

30 RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this
31 resolution may be cited as the Security Assurance Management, Inc. Disapproval Resolution of
32 2020.
33 Sec. 2. (a) Pursuant to section 451(b) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act,
34 approved December 24, 1973 (87 Stat. 803; D.C. Official Code 1-204.51(b)), and section
35 202(b)(2) of the Procurement Practices Reform Act of 2010, effective April 8, 2011 (D.C. Law

36 18-371; D.C. Official Code 2-352.02(b)(2)), the Mayor transmitted to the Council on June 17,
37 2020, a proposed contract to exercise option period 3 of contract CW52393 with Security
38 Assurance Management, Inc. in the not-to-exceed amount of $25 million to provide security
39 guards services to protect persons and property at District of Columbia Public Schools buildings.
40 The Metropolitan Police Department administers the contract.
41 (b) The Council disapproves the contract.
42 Sec. 3. The Secretary to the Council shall transmit a copy of this resolution, upon its
43 adoption, to the Mayor.
44 Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
