This bill, sHB6273, replaces and expands the current law on wage disclosure. It requires employers to include the wage or wage range and a general description of benefits in their public and internal job postings. Employers must also provide this information annually to their employees. The bill prohibits employers from retaliating against employees for exercising their rights under the wage disclosure law and establishes that a court must award statutory damages for violations of the law. The bill will take effect on October 1, 2023.
