REASONS FOR BILL:
The Judiciary Committee Legal Interns, under the direction of Committee Leadership, have
determined the claimant, Joshua Kahan, be granted an opportunity to have a hearing on his
claim. Therefore, the resolution vacates the Claims Commissioner's dismissal order for file
number 23225 and remands it to the Claims Commissioner for a hearing on the merits.

The substitute language vacates the Claims Commissioner's dismissal order for this claim
and remands it to the Claims Commissioner for a hearing on the merits. The original
language of the bill confirmed the Claims Commissioner's order of dismissal.
