REASONS FOR BILL:
SB 1039 directs the Commissioner of Administration Services to compile information and
submit a report to the legislature on how utilizing blockchain technology could make state
administrative functions more efficient or cost-effective. In addition, SB 1039 directs the
Commissioner of Economic and Community Development to develop a plan to support the
states remote work economy.
Substitute Language LCO No. 5798
The substitute language instructs the Commissioner of Economic and Community
Development to consult with AdvanceCT when developing the state's plan to support the
remote work economy. The substitute language also added specific examples of potential
new places for remote workspaces.
