Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors save the lives of residents in case of any type of

There was none submitted.
NATURE AND SOURCES OF SUPPORT:
CT Association of Realtors The testimony submitted supports the proposed legislation
with an amendment. They feel that this legislation is a step in the right direction, however,
feel that the subsection should include the word Safety and that all safety features should
be moved to that subsection at the beginning of the report.
Home Builders and Remodeling Association of Connecticut, Inc. The testimony
submitted supports the proposed legislation. It is noted in their testimony that while they
support HB 6600 they would like to see the amendment proposed by the CT Association of
Realtors (CAR) be added to the legislation. They feel that the proposed wording from CAR
would better mirror current industry practices.
NATURE AND SOURCES OF OPPOSITION:
Walter Summers and Roger Nelson, Legislative Representatives, CT fire Marshals
Association The submitted testimony does not support HB 6600. They note that the
language in the proposed legislation already exists in CGS 29-453.
