REASONS FOR BILL:
This bill is aimed at increasing the virtual net metering cap from twenty million to thirty
million dollars per year. It also extends credits to manufacturers in state designated
distressed municipalities.

NATURE AND SOURCES OF SUPPORT:
Representative Kara Rochelle: Writing in support of the bill. Believes that a
targeted expansion of net metering will help create economic value for
Connecticut manufacturing business. Also helps move state in a sustainable
direction by investing in our green future.
Juliann Blanford: Nustreem LLC writes in support of this bill. Wants to highlight
the importance of incentivizing hydropower in the state as it will spur green
energy job creation in Connecticut.
