AN ACT CONTINUING THE SUSPENSION OF THE EXPERIENCE
RATE COMPONENT OF THE UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE TAX.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 That the general statutes be amended to continue the suspension of
2 the experience rate component of the unemployment insurance tax that
3 businesses must pay to account for the many layoffs that businesses
4 were forced to make during the pandemic.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent our state's job creators from being penalized for layoffs that
were required by state mandate or otherwise made necessary due to the
COVID-19 pandemic.
