Senator Maroney, 14th Senatorial District.
REASONS FOR BILL:
Funding for the Roberta B. Willis Scholarship Program has been greatly reduced since its
creation. This bill will allow a tax credit for donations made to the Program, thereby
increasing financial aide available to students who need help.
Substitute Language:
Sec. 2: Requires state-appropriated scholarship funds to lapse in the same amount as
donations received, rather than reducing the amount of state appropriations to match the
amount of donations received.
