REASONS FOR BILL:
To allow the Commissioner of Consumer Protection to adopt regulations concerning alcoholic
liquor.
RESPONSE FROM ADMINISTRATION/AGENCY:
none
NATURE AND SOURCES OF SUPPORT:

NATURE AND SOURCES OF OPPOSITION:
TFC operation LLC d/b/a Farmington Club submitted testimony. The statues concerning
liquor permits should be amended to allow the owner of a grocery store to also own a
restaurant. There is a general ban on owners of one type of liquor permit from backing or
owning another type of permit. Though there are numerous exceptions this bill we have
included changes that would allow for ownership and backing of our establishment team.
