AN ACT CONCERNING PROBATE COURT ORDERS RELATING TO
THE ADMINISTRATION OF ELECTROCONVULSIVE THERAPY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 That section 17a-543 of the general statutes be amended to remove
2 the forty-five day limit relating to an order of the Probate Court
3 authorizing the administration of electroconvulsive therapy to an
4 individual who is unable to give informed consent to such therapy.
Statement of Purpose:
To remove the forty-five day limit relating to an order of the Probate
Court authorizing the administration of electroconvulsive therapy to an
individual who is unable to give informed consent to such therapy.
