AN ACT CONCERNING NEWBORN INFANT HEALTH SCREENING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 That section 19a-55 of the general statutes be amended to (1) require
2 a health screening of a newborn infant not earlier than twenty-four
3 hours after and not later than forty-eight hours after the birth of such
4 newborn infant, and (2) add various metabolic and genetic disorders to
5 the newborn infant screening panel.
Statement of Purpose:
To require health screening of newborn infants not earlier than twenty-
four hours after and not later than forty-eight hours after the birth of
such infant and to add various metabolic and genetic disorders to the
newborn infant screening panel.
