AN ACT CONCERNING THE DEPRIVATION OF CONSTITUTIONAL
RIGHTS BY STATE ELECTED OFFICIALS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 That section 52-571k of the general statutes be amended to include
2 the members of the General Assembly, the Governor, the Lieutenant
3 Governor, the Attorney General, the Comptroller, the Treasurer and the
4 Secretary of the State as individuals against whom a civil action may be
5 brought for alleged constitutional violations for which government
6 immunity is limited.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure state elected officials are held to the same standard as police
officers in protecting the Constitutional rights of state residents.
