AN ACT CONCERNING THE "MOVE OVER" LAW.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 That subsection (b) of section 14-283b of the general statutes be
2 amended to require the operator of a motor vehicle to immediately
3 reduce the speed of such vehicle to twenty miles per hour when
4 approaching one or more stationary emergency vehicles located on the
5 shoulder, lane or breakdown lane of such highway.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase public safety by requiring motorists to reduce the speed of
a motor vehicle to twenty miles per hour when approaching a stationary
emergency vehicle on the shoulder, lane or breakdown lane of a
highway.
