AN ACT CONCERNING OUT-OF-NETWORK HEALTH CARE
PROVIDERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require an out-of-
2 network health care provider to inform an insured that the provider is
3 out-of-network, and provide the insured with an opportunity to decline
4 to receive health care services from the provider, before the provider
5 provides health care services to the insured.
Statement of Purpose:
To require an out-of-network health care provider to inform an insured
that the provider is out-of-network, and provide the insured with an
opportunity to decline to receive health care services from the provider,
before the provider provides health care services to the insured.
