AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF STATE REVENUE POLICIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Secretary of the Office of Policy
2 and Management, in consultation with the Commissioner of Revenue
3 Services, shall conduct a study of the revenue policies of the state to
4 identify legislative changes that can be made to improve state business
5 competitiveness with surrounding states. The secretary may consult
6 with any individuals, businesses or state agencies the secretary deems
7 necessary or appropriate to accomplish such study. Not later than
8 January 1, 2021, the secretary shall submit a report, in accordance with
9 the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, on the secretary's
10 findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee of the
11 General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to finance,
12 revenue and bonding.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To require the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management, in
consultation with the Commissioner of Revenue Services, to conduct a
study of the revenue policies of the state.
