AN ACT CONCERNING SUICIDE PREVENTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Department of Mental Health
2 and Addiction Services shall (1) evaluate existing suicide prevention
3 programs available in the state, and (2) determine the types of additional
4 programs that would assist in improving suicide prevention efforts and
5 the feasibility of establishing such programs. Not later than January 1,
6 2021, the Commissioner of Mental Health and Addiction Services shall
7 report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general
8 statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly
9 having cognizance of matters relating to public health regarding such
10 evaluation.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:

evaluate suicide prevention programs and training in the state.
