AN ACT CONCERNING MEMBERSHIP IN THE NURSE LICENSURE
COMPACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Department of Public Health
2 shall evaluate the potential impact of the state becoming a member of
3 the Nurse Licensure Compact and develop a plan for membership. Not
4 later than January 1, 2021, the Commissioner of Public Health shall
5 report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general
6 statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly
7 having cognizance of matters relating to public health regarding such
8 plan.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
Section 1 from passage New section
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Department of Public Health to determine the feasibility
of becoming a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact.
