AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF MEDICAID, MEDICARE AND
TRICARE FUNDS TO PROVIDE CERTAIN VETERANS WITH
TRANSPORTATION TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2020) Notwithstanding any
2 provisions of the general statutes and to the extent permissible by
3 federal law, the Commissioner of Veterans Affairs shall provide
4 veterans who do not have available transportation with transportation
5 services to and from medical appointments and hospital visits, which
6 transportation services shall be paid from Medicaid, Medicare and
7 TriCare funds.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To provide veterans who do not have access to transportation with
transportation services to and from medical appointments and hospital
visits.
