AN ACT CONCERNING CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION
TRANSPARENCY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
1 Section 1. (NEW) (Effective January 1, 2021) A charitable organization
2 registered with the Department of Consumer Protection pursuant to
3 section 21a-190b of the general statutes shall, when engaging in
4 solicitation, or upon request from any person, disclose its registration
5 number and the percentage of funds collected by such organization in
6 the prior calendar year that directly funded the charitable purpose of
7 such organization. For purposes of this section, "charitable
8 organization", "charitable purpose", "person" and "solicit" have the same
9 meanings as defined in section 21a-190a of the general statutes.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:

numbers and certain financial information when soliciting funds.
