20 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

22 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 9-14-233(a), concerning the rate at which
23 interest for child support that is due and unpaid accrues per annum, is
24 amended to read as follows:
25 (a) All child support that becomes due and remains unpaid shall accrue
26 interest at the rate of ten percent (10%) two percent (2%) per annum unless
27 the owner of the judgment or the owner's counsel of record requests prior to
28 the accrual of the interest that the judgment shall not accrue interest.
