17 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

19 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 27-51-309(b), concerning the operation of a
20 motor vehicle in a center left-turn lane, is amended to read as follows:
21 (b)(1) A center left-turn lane shall be for the exclusive use of a
22 left-turning vehicle in either direction.
23 (2) A center left-turn lane shall not be used for through
24 travel, nor shall a center left-turn lane be used for passing or overtaking,
25 except as a part of the left-turn maneuver.
26 (3) A vehicle shall not enter and drive on a center left-turn
27 lane for a distance that is more than reasonable and prudent, having due
28 regard for actual and potential traffic entering the center left-turn lane.
