19 WHEREAS, on February 18, 2023, the Lake Hamilton Wolves Girls Indoor
20 Track and Field Team won the Class 5A State Girls Indoor Track and Field
21 Championship at the Randall Tyson Indoor Track Facility at the University of
22 Arkansas, Fayetteville; and
23
24 WHEREAS, the Lake Hamilton Girls Indoor Track and Field Team won the
25 championship with a total score of ninety-five and five one hundredths (95.5)
26 points; and
27
28 WHEREAS, in the 4 x 800-meter relay race, Lani Inman, Audrey Herrell,
29 Blair Turpen, and Olivia Pielemeier won their second consecutive title with a
30 time of 10:07.66; and

32 WHEREAS, Olivia Pielemeier broke her previous Arkansas girls state
33 records and won the 1,600-meter race with a time of 5:00:16, won the 800-meter
34 race with a time of 2:17:27, and won the Harold Valentine Outstanding Award
35 for all classifications combined in the girls division; and

1 WHEREAS, this championship was a true team effort as the Lake Hamilton
2 Girls Indoor Track and Field Team also had athletes place in the 4 x 400-meter
3 relay race, the 60-meter hurdles, the long jump, the 60-meter dash, and the
4 400-meter run; and

6 WHEREAS, the head coach of the Lake Hamilton Girls Indoor Track and
7 Field Team is Brandon Starr and the assistant coaches are Brandon Smith,
8 Morry Sanders, David Davenport, and Mac Hurley; and
9
10 WHEREAS, the Lake Hamilton Girls Indoor Track and Field Team is
11 comprised of Mikaela Miller, Maggie Dampier, Naomi Smith, Rylee Burns, Sarah
12 Humphries, Olivia Pielemeier, Blair Turpen, Audrey Herrell, Lani Inman,
13 Kenley Kincannon, Sheyla Praetzel, Reagan Carrouth, Reese Lackey, Brianna
14 Brodin, and Nancy Coffman; and
15
16 WHEREAS, Coach Starr stated “As a coaching staff, we could not be more
17 proud of how our girls performed at the State Indoor Meet. The team is led by
18 a small group of seniors that have put in an unthinkable amount of hours and
19 miles into their training. These girls have achieved a variety of individual
20 accolades, academically and athletically, throughout their high school
21 careers. As a team, they were State runner-up last year at the 5A State
22 Outdoor Meet, and with the help of a well-rounded group of ninth, tenth, and
23 eleventh-grade girls, they were able to bring home their first Indoor State
24 Championship.”,

26 NOW THEREFORE,
27 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
28 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

30 THAT the House of Representatives commend the Lake Hamilton Wolves
31 Girls Indoor Track and Field team for its 2023 Class 5A Girls Indoor Track
32 and Field Championship.

34 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption of this resolution, a copy shall be
35 transmitted to Head Coach Brandon Starr by the Chief Clerk of the House of
36 Representatives.
