18 STREET OR HIGHWAY BY AN EMPLOYEE OF A
19 UTILITY, TELECOMMUNICATIONS, OR CABLE

23 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

25 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 27-21-106(a)(5), concerning the operation
26 of an all-terrain vehicle on a public street or highway, is amended to read
27 as follows:
28 (5) An employee or agent of a utility, telecommunications, or
29 cable company working during a time of emergency or severe weather may
30 operate an all-terrain vehicle on a public street or highway while he or she
31 is:
32 (A) Performing a function directly related to the
33 operation of the utility, telecommunications, or cable company; or
34 (B) Working during a time of emergency or severe weather;
35 and
