21 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

23 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 27-65-140(a), concerning payment of a tool
24 allowance, is amended to read as follows:
25 (a) The State Highway Commission may pay from funds appropriated for
26 maintenance and operation a tool allowance of five hundred forty dollars
27 ($540) per annum for each mechanic, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical
28 repairer, welder, or body repairer, and painter, and carpenter employed by
29 the Arkansas Department of Transportation who works on highway equipment and
30 facilities.
