20 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

22 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 12-11-111(a), concerning the discretionary
23 transport of a person to a sobering center and the definition of "sobering
24 center", is amended to read as follows:
25 (a) As used in this section, “sobering center” means a facility or
26 setting for providing recovery, detoxification, and recuperation from the
27 effects of alcohol an intoxicating substance, the focus of which is treating
28 alcoholics and persons who are intoxicated or have substance abuse issues.
