22 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

24 SECTION 1. DO NOT CODIFY. TEMPORARY LANGUAGE. Nonemergency
25 Transportation Rideshare Expansion Study Workgroup.
26 (a) The Department of Human Services shall convene a workgroup to be
27 known as the "Nonemergency Transportation Rideshare Expansion Study
28 Workgroup".
29 (b) The purpose of the workgroup is to study and report on the
30 following, the:
31 (1) Need for expanded rideshare services to healthcare
32 facilities for Medicaid beneficiaries;
33 (2) Benefits of using rideshare services verses traditional
34 nonemergency transportation providers;
35 (3) Cost, including potential cost savings, of expanded
36 rideshare services as part of the nonemergency transportation program; and

1 (4) Use of other operational and nonemergency transportation
2 program flexibilities to expand services and improve cost effectiveness.
3 (c) The department shall present a report to the Senate Committee on
4 Public Health, Welfare and Labor and the House Committee on Public Health,
5 Welfare and Labor no later than December 31, 2023.
