8 TO EXTEND THE SECOND EXTRAORDINARY SESSION OF THE
9 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO CONSIDER BILLS
10 CONCERNING INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
11 THAT ARE RELATED TO RACE AND ETHNICITY AND
12 INFRINGEMENTS UPON FUNDAMENTAL PARENTAL RIGHTS AS
13 THEY RELATE TO THE UPBRINGING, EDUCATION, AND CARE OF
14 MINOR CHILDREN.

20 ASSEMBLY TO CONSIDER BILLS CONCERNING
21 INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
22 AND INFRINGEMENTS UPON FUNDAMENTAL
23 PARENTAL RIGHTS.

26 WHEREAS, Arkansas Constitution, Article 6, 19, provides that, after
27 the General Assembly has disposed of the business set forth in the Governor's
28 proclamation to convene an extraordinary session, the General Assembly may,
29 by a vote of two-thirds (2/3) of all the members elected to both houses,
30 remain in session for a period not to exceed fifteen (15) days for the
31 purpose of transacting other legislative business; and

33 WHEREAS, the General Assembly has disposed of the matters set forth in
34 the Governor's proclamation calling the Second Extraordinary Session of the
35 Ninety-Third General Assembly,

1 NOW THEREFORE,
2 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
3 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

5 THAT the Second Extraordinary Session of the Ninety-Third General
6 Assembly has completed action deemed to be necessary with respect to the
7 business set forth in the Governor's proclamation to convene the
8 extraordinary session.

10 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Second Extraordinary Session of the
11 Ninety-Third General Assembly is extended in accordance with Arkansas
12 Constitution, Article 6, 19, and shall remain in session for a period not
13 to exceed fifteen (15) days to consider bills concerning instructional
14 materials in public schools that are related to race and ethnicity and
15 infringements upon fundamental parental rights as they relate to the
16 upbringing, education, and care of minor children.
