7 SENATE RESOLUTION
8 TO EXTEND THE SECOND EXTRAORDINARY SESSION OF THE
9 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY FOR A PERIOD NOT
10 EXCEEDING FIFTEEN (15) DAYS UNDER ARKANSAS
11 CONSTITUTION, ARTICLE 6, 19, FOR THE PURPOSE OF
12 CONSIDERING LEGISLATION TO CREATE THE ARKANSAS HUMAN
13 HEARTBEAT AND HUMAN LIFE CIVIL JUSTICE ACT TO
14 REGULATE ABORTION IN ARKANSAS, SAVE THE LIVES OF
15 UNBORN CHILDREN, AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF WOMEN
16 THROUGH CIVIL LIABILITY FOR VIOLATIONS OF ABORTION
17 LAWS.

25 HUMAN HEARTBEAT AND HUMAN LIFE CIVIL
26 JUSTICE ACT.

29 WHEREAS, Arkansas Constitution, Article 6, 19, provides that, after
30 the General Assembly has disposed of the business set forth in the Governor's
31 proclamation to convene an extraordinary session, the General Assembly may,
32 by a vote of two-thirds (2/3) of all members elected to both houses, remain
33 in session for a period not to exceed fifteen (15) days for the purpose of
34 transacting other legislative business; and

36 WHEREAS, the General Assembly has disposed of the matters set forth in

1 the Governor's proclamation calling the Second Extraordinary Session of the
2 Ninety-Third General Assembly,

4 NOW THEREFORE,
5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
6 STATE OF ARKANSAS:

8 THAT the Second Extraordinary Session of the Ninety-Third General
9 Assembly has completed action deemed to be necessary with respect to the
10 business set forth in the Governor's proclamation to convene the Second
11 Extraordinary Session.

13 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Second Extraordinary Session of the
14 Ninety-Third General Assembly is extended as provided in Arkansas
15 Constitution, Article 6, 19, and shall remain in session for a period not
16 exceeding fifteen (15) days for the purpose of considering legislation to
17 create the Arkansas Human Heartbeat and Human Life Civil Justice Act to
18 regulate abortion in Arkansas, save the lives of unborn children, and protect
19 the health of women through civil liability for violations of abortion laws.
