19 WHEREAS, the 2021 El Dorado High School Wildcats football team claimed
20 the Class 6A state championship trophy after the El Dorado High School
21 Wildcats defeated the Greenwood High School Bulldogs with a 27-17 victory at
22 War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Arkansas; and
23
24 WHEREAS, the team was led by head coach Steven Jones, and the 2021
25 championship was his first with the Wildcats; and
26
27 WHEREAS, the 2021 Class 6A state championship is the tenth football
28 state championship in school history; and
29
30 WHEREAS, the Wildcats were also supported by an excellent team of
31 assistant coaches, coordinators, athletic trainers, and other staff members;
32 and
33
34 WHEREAS, El Dorado High School Athletic Director Phillip Lansdell and
35 his staff also provided exceptional leadership in the operation of the
36 athletic department to support the success of the team,

2 NOW THEREFORE,
3 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
4 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

6 THAT the House of Representatives congratulate the El Dorado High
7 School Wildcats football team on winning the 2021 Class 6A State
8 Championship.

10 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon its adoption, a copy of this resolution
11 shall be presented to both the athletic director and the head football coach
12 of El Dorado High School by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives.
