8 TO CONGRATULATE MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH SCHOOL
9 FOR WINNING THE CLASS 4A BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

18 WHEREAS, the 2021 Mills University Studies High School Comets
19 basketball team claimed the Class 4A state championship trophy for the third
20 time and took the state title after winning the regular season conference,
21 the conference tournament, and the regional tournament; and
22
23 WHEREAS, the team completed the season with a 26-3 record, and Coach
24 Raymond Cooper was named the Class 4A conference Coach of the Year for his
25 efforts in guiding the team in their endeavors; and
26
27 WHEREAS, the appearance by the Comets in the state championship was
28 their fifth straight, the regional win was the third for the team, and the
29 regular season conference victory was the sixth straight one; and
30
31 WHEREAS, the dedication and commitment of the entire team and coaching
32 staff led to this achievement,

34 NOW THEREFORE,
35 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
36 STATE OF ARKANSAS:

2 THAT the Senate congratulate the members of the Mills University
3 Studies High School Comets basketball team on winning the 2021 Class 4A State
4 Championship.

6 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be
7 provided to Coach Raymond Cooper by the Secretary of the Senate.
