19   BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

21          SECTION 1.        Arkansas Code  6-16-106 is amended to read as follows:
22          6-16-106. Arkansas flag  Additional flags on public school campuses.
23          (a)    The official Arkansas flag shall be displayed on the schoolhouse
24   or school grounds of every public school in this state.
25          (b)    The Arkansas flag shall be displayed on the same staff or pole as
26   the United States flag and shall be positioned immediately below the United
27   States flag.
28          (c)    It shall be the duty of the The board of directors of every public
29   school district in this state to shall procure a suitable Arkansas flag for
30   each school and to require the flag to be displayed in the manner required in
31   subsections (a) and (b) of this section.
32          (d)    In addition to the United States flag required under  6-16-105
33   and the Arkansas flag required under this section, a public school choosing
34   to fly additional flags on its campuses is limited to flying only the
35   following flags:
36                  (1)      A flag representing the public school;

 1              (2)    A county flag representing the county in which the public
 2   school is located; and
 3              (3)    A flag representing the foreign country associated with a
 4   foreign delegation of students that a public school is welcoming or
 5   recognizing.
 6        (e)   A public school shall not prohibit the flying of a flag permitted
 7   or required under this section or under  6-16-105.
