26 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

28 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code Title 12, Chapter 29, is amended to add an
29 additional section to read as follows:
30 12-29-408. Prostate screening and physician consultation.
31 (a) A correctional or detention facility operated or administered by
32 the Department of Corrections shall establish a policy to offer a male inmate
33 or detainee who is:
34 (1) Fifty-five (55) years of age or older but younger than
35 seventy (70) years of age a prostate screening every two (2) years; and
36 (2) Forty (40) years of age or older but younger than fifty-five

1 (55) years of age a consultation with a physician to seek professional care
2 as to when to receive a prostate screening.
3 (b) A prostate screening or consultation with a physician under this
4 section shall be at no cost to the male inmate or detainee.
5 (c) As used in this section, "prostate screening" means a prostate-
6 specific antigen test.

8 SECTION 2. Arkansas Code Title 12, Chapter 32, is amended to add an
9 additional section to read as follows:
10 12-32-104. Mammograms and physician consultation.
11 (a) A correctional or detention facility operated or administered by
12 the Department of Corrections shall establish a policy to offer a female
13 inmate or detainee who is:
14 (1) Fifty (50) years of age or older but younger than seventy-
15 five (75) years of age a mammogram screening every two (2) years; and
16 (2) Forty (40) years of age or older but younger than fifty (50)
17 years of age a consultation with a physician to seek professional care as to
18 when to receive a mammogram.
19 (b) A mammogram or consultation with a physician under this section
20 shall be at no cost to the female inmate or detainee.
