27 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

29 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code 7-4-107(a), concerning the duties of a
30 county board of election commissioners, is amended to add an additional
31 subdivision to read as follows:
32 (6)(A) Supervise all election officials.
33 (B) The supervision of election officials may be delegated
34 by an affirmative vote of a quorum of all members of the county board of
35 election commissioners.

1 SECTION 2. Arkansas Code Title 7, Chapter 4, Subchapter 1, is amended
2 to add an additional section to read as follows:
3 7-4-122. County employees detailed as election official.
4 (a) A county employee detailed as an election official shall comply
5 with directives of the county board of election commissioners in matters
6 related to an election.
7 (b) A county board of election commissioners may assign to other
8 election officials the supervision of election officials by an affirmative
9 vote of a quorum of all members of the county board of election
10 commissioners.
11 (d) A county board of election commissioners may not change a duty
12 delegated to a county employee if that duty is expressly governed by state or
13 federal law.
