23 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

25 SECTION 1. Arkansas Code 25-38-202, concerning the appointment and
26 duties of the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, and the creation of
27 the Department of Agriculture, is amended to add an additional subsection to
28 read as follows:
29 (c)(1) By November 1 of each odd-numbered year, the secretary shall
30 provide an oral report to the Legislative Council on the state of the
31 department.
32 (2) The Legislative Council shall schedule an appropriate date
33 and shall give notice thereof to the secretary of the date on which the
34 secretary is to appear before the Legislative Council to make his or her
35 report as required in this subsection.

1 SECTION 2. Arkansas Code 25-43-303, concerning the duties of the
2 Secretary of the Department of Commerce, is amended to add an additional
3 subsection to read as follows:
4 (h)(1) By November 1 of each odd-numbered year, the secretary shall
5 provide an oral report to the Legislative Council on the state of the
6 department.
7 (2) The Legislative Council shall schedule an appropriate date
8 and shall give notice thereof to the secretary of the date on which the
9 secretary is to appear before the Legislative Council to make his or her
10 report as required in this subsection.

12 SECTION 3. Arkansas Code 25-43-403, concerning the duties of the
13 Secretary of the Department of Corrections, is amended to add an additional
14 subsection to read as follows:
15 (d)(1) By November 1 of each odd-numbered year, the secretary shall
16 provide an oral report to the Legislative Council on the state of the
17 department.
18 (2) The Legislative Council shall schedule an appropriate date
19 and shall give notice thereof to the secretary of the date on which the
20 secretary is to appear before the Legislative Council to make his or her
21 report as required in this subsection.

23 SECTION 4. Arkansas Code 25-43-503, concerning the duties of the
24 Secretary of the Department of Education, is amended to add an additional
25 subsection to read as follows:
26 (f)(1) By November 1 of each odd-numbered year, the secretary shall
27 provide an oral report to the Legislative Council on the state of the
28 department.
29 (2) The Legislative Council shall schedule an appropriate date
30 and shall give notice thereof to the secretary of the date on which the

34 SECTION 5. Arkansas Code 25-43-603, concerning the duties of the
35 Secretary of the Department of Energy and Environment, is amended to add an
36 additional subsection to read as follows:

1 (f)(1) By November 1 of each odd-numbered year, the secretary shall

20 SECTION 7. Arkansas Code 25-43-803, concerning the duties of the
21 Secretary of the Department of Health, is amended to add an additional
22 subsection to read as follows:

33 additional subsection to read as follows:

35 provide an oral report to the Legislative Council on the state of the
36 department.

10 provide an oral report to the Legislative Council on the state of the
11 department.
12 (2) The Legislative Council shall schedule an appropriate date
13 and shall give notice thereof to the secretary of the date on which the
14 secretary is to appear before the Legislative Council to make his or her
15 report as required in this subsection.

17 SECTION 10. Arkansas Code 25-43-1103, concerning the duties of the
18 Secretary of the Department of Labor and Licensing, is amended to add an
19 additional subsection to read as follows:
20 (f)(1) By November 1 of each odd-numbered year, the secretary shall
21 provide an oral report to the Legislative Council on the state of the
22 department.
23 (2) The Legislative Council shall schedule an appropriate date
24 and shall give notice thereof to the secretary of the date on which the
25 secretary is to appear before the Legislative Council to make his or her

28 SECTION 11. Arkansas Code 25-43-1203, concerning the duties of the
29 Secretary of the Department of the Military, is amended to add an additional
30 subsection to read as follows:

27 to add an additional subsection to read as follows:

29 provide an oral report to the Legislative Council on the state of the
30 department.
31 (2) The Legislative Council shall schedule an appropriate date
32 and shall give notice thereof to the secretary of the date on which the
33 secretary is to appear before the Legislative Council to make his or her
34 report as required in this subsection.

36 SECTION 15. Arkansas Code 25-43-1604, concerning the duties of the

2 additional subsection to read as follows:
3 (k)(1) By November 1 of each odd-numbered year, the secretary shall

7 and shall give notice thereof to the secretary of the date on which the
8 secretary is to appear before the Legislative Council to make his or her
